Since its inception in 2010, Round Hainan Regatta has become the first multi-day big boat sailing rally, with its mileage, challenging and competitive level surpassing all the sailing races currently held in China. In 2013, the race has been included in the race list of World Sailing. China's mainstream media has made follow-up reports on the race, including CCTV, Global Times, CHINA YACHTING, Sina.com, Sina Weibo, etc. which made the race known in most cities in China.
