In 2014, the 5th Aloha Cup Round Hainan Regatta attracted 45 teams which was a new record in the race’s history. The race started from Sanya, by way of Haikou and Wanning and ended at Sanya. The race is divided into IRC-A, IRC-B and one design class(Beneteau Oceanis40, SOTO27 and Fareast26).Compared with the last editions, this year’s race has made great breakthroughs:

First, the race set up new Beneteau Oceanis40 group and Fareast 26 one design group, which makes the race more reasonable;

Second, there are more highly capable racing teams and international teams, such as Russia YC Navygator Club and the Shanghai team and Vatti Team;

Third, the race also uses new Beidou8 Navigation Satellite System and more suitable professional software, which greatly improves the stability of the end devices. The professional software can make real time remote monitoring on the boats and can transmit more vivid and complete race data;

Fourth, the sole Chinese Team Dongfeng participated in the race. This is also the first time that Dongfeng team has participated such great sailing event in China since it was set up.
