On Nov. 29th, the 11th Round Hainan Regatta 2020 weighed anchor at the Serenity Marina in Sanya, with 33 ships racing across the ocean waters of Sanya. The route of the Offshore Race loops around Hainan Island, covering a distance of 580 nautical miles, with the start and finish lines of the competition both located at Sanya's Serenity Marina.

Hosted by the Hainan Provincial Government, the Round Hainan Regatta is the longest, the most difficult, most complex regatta in operation. This year, the contest has made a historic breakthrough and achieved the FIRST complete round-island race without any pit stops along the way. This year, the Regatta enters its third decade, sailing out on a new, exciting journey. This is also the first Round Hainan Regatta held after China’s recovery from the pandemic.
